You Are Not the Same Anymore
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Paul isn't writing to comfort — he's writing to declare. This is not a promise for tomorrow. It is a reality that begins the very moment Christ enters.
The Greek phrase kainē ktísis — new creation — doesn't mean "improved" or "fixed up." It means recreated from the ground up. God didn't restore your past: He buried it. He didn't patch up your heart: He made a new one. Your identity is no longer anchored in what you've done or what has been done to you.
So stop introducing yourself by the scars of someone who doesn't yet know they've been set free. There is a new name over you. There is a new life running through you. The resurrection isn't just doctrine — it's your testimony.
In Christ, you are not an upgraded version of who you used to be — you are someone who simply did not exist before.
