You Don't Have to Be Afraid
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9
Joshua stood before the impossible: crossing the Jordan, facing mighty nations, inheriting a land that existed only as a promise. And God didn't say to him, "Don't worry about it." He said something far greater: "I will be with you."
Biblical encouragement is not wishful thinking or empty optimism. It is a divine command grounded in a very real presence. God doesn't ask you to be courageous without first offering Himself as the foundation of that courage. Your strength doesn't come from within yourself — it comes from the One who dwells within you.
Today, whatever your Jordan may be — the diagnosis, the crisis, the grief, the uncertainty — this word is for you. You are not walking alone. You never were. Rise up, take the next step, and trust: He is already on the other side, waiting for you.
Your courage doesn't depend on your own strength, but on the faithfulness of the One who sends you.
