When Your Knees Shake, God Holds You Up
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." — Isaiah 41:10
The world measures courage by the absence of fear. God measures it by something entirely different — by the faith that moves forward even with a pounding heart. This verse wasn't written for heroes. It was written for people who are exhausted, overlooked, and afraid.
Notice the three promises: I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you. Not just one. Three hands extended over your life. And that "righteous right hand" — it's the right hand of God, the hand of power, which will never let go of what it has once taken hold of.
Today, whatever the challenge that is making you pull back, lift your eyes. Your courage doesn't come from your own character — it comes from the character of the One who walks with you.
Christian courage isn't the absence of fear — it's knowing Who goes ahead of you.
