Maranatha: The Love That Longs for His Return
"If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord!"

Paul closes his letter with a word that is at once a warning and a hope: Maranatha — "Come, Lord Jesus." It is not a cry of despair, but the passionate longing of one who truly loves the eternal Bridegroom.
There is a profound difference between knowing Christ's return as doctrine and yearning for it as reality. Those who truly love Jesus do not settle into this world as though it were a permanent home. They live with their spiritual bags packed, hearts awake, eyes fixed on the eternal horizon.
This hope does not paralyze — it transforms. It purifies our priorities, warms our service, and sustains our perseverance through difficult days. When everything feels uncertain, the believer lifts their head, knowing that their redemption is drawing near.
Do not let your love for Christ grow cold: may your heart beat daily with the most beautiful whisper of faith — Maranatha, come, Lord Jesus.
